The Snow lion is a celestial animal that symbolizes fearless and unconditional cheerfulness. It has a youthful, vibrant energy of goodness and a natural sense of delight.

Apu Norlha comes from Kham and is dressed in the traditional costume of that region. His body is made of walnut dyed wool with buttoned moveable limbs and hand enbroidered face and fingernails.He has one turquise earring and wool hair decorated with traditional red tassels. Apu Norlha's robe(Chuba) is black wool with fa fur trim, fastened with a colourful sash and is worn off one shoulder for ease of movement.  It is worn over a raw silk shirt and dark cotton trousers tucked into woollen boots.
